We arrived and reported the following: He and his girlfriend, were walking eastbound at about the block of NE 55 St on the south side at about 2030 hours on 2/2/14 after the Super Bowl. A white mid 90s sedan pulled up behind them going eastbound. Two suspects jumped out and approached them. The suspects asked if and were Seahawks fans. said something like yeah of course, are you Broncos fans? and tried to walk away but the suspects stepped in front of them and cut them off from where they were going. The suspects then got in their face. then pushed into a bush. pushed him back and both suspects "came at" him and started punching in the face. landed

multiple punches to face. Meanwhile, the female driver of the white sedan was yelling at the suspects to get back in the car. A few neighbors in the area came running out to the street to assist. The suspects got in the car and left eastbound. noticed his zip up jacket was ripped after the assault. had significant bruising to his left eye and chin/cheek area. He also had abrasions on the left side of his neck, presumably from the zipper on his jacket while he was being assaulted. Officer Richards took photographs of his injuries. was telling his friend, about the incident and told him the descriptions of the 2 suspects. told him that it sounded like the two suspects from an assault near the burning couches at NE 47 St/19 Av NE. said and were involved in a scuffle near the burning couches and pulled up pictures of them from the UW Football roster. looked at the photos and said they were the suspects who assaulted him. I called and he told me the following: He saw wearing a red short sleeve shirt, in a scuffle near the saw a female fall to the ground. He then heard someone let's go!" He then saw walk off with 2 later heard that was with at the was wearing a Broncos hat.
