Indian Ocean, and with good reason. For a country of its size, you will be surprised by the islands variety; from golden beaches to verdant tea plantations, an abundance of wildlife to ancient temples. The Cultural Triangle comprises a succession of ancient capitals and Buddhist sites scattered throughout the forests, while the busy lakeside city of Kandy attracts devotees to the Temple of the Tooth. Huge,man-made lakes have kept the area irrigated for millennia and continue to provide water for both the paddy fields and thirsty wild elephant and other wildlife. The mountainous centre of the island is the countrys tea-growing region and on the southern shores you will find fortified Galle, where the Portuguese walls defended Dutch churches. Sri Lanka was one of the first countries in the world to create national parks, now home to a great diversity of flora and fauna. More and more visitors are attracted by its whale watching opportunities, but the country is better known for its population of wild elephant and record numbers of leopard.

Day 3rd Visit Galle / Kogalla Attractions covered : Capital of southern Sri Lanka, Dutch Architecture, Capital of southern Sri Lanka in 1587, the Portuguese annexed Galle from its Singhalese kings and built its first fortress naming it Santacrusz. Visit Galle Trilingual inscription: Real place (now as displayed in the Colombo National Museum) Chinese; Tamil and Persian, that was erected in 1409 in Galle, Sri Lanka to commemorate the second visit to the island by the Chinese admiral Zheng He. Over night stay Kogalla Beach Day 4th Visit Yala National Park Yala, the most popular National Park in Sri Lanka famous for Leopards, Elephants, Sloth Bear, Deer, Crocodiles and many Birds. if you are on a holiday in Sri Lanka this is not to be missed.

Value informations regarding the tour Places of interest: During the tour, we will be visiting a number of sites that are free and some that charge admission fees. Do you interesting for any other important places during your tour, please do not hesitate to write us. We have enclosed an itinerary based on the information from your e-mail. Please know that Sri Lanka is a small country and the distances between different places of interest is generally less than 100Km. However, we do not have major highways and so it takes time to get between places. On most days we will drive about approximately 4-5 hours. (There will be several breaks and things to do along the way. We won't be driving for 5 hours straight.)
