FOSTER DUCT-FAS ADHESIVE
(NON-FLAMMABLE)
FOSTER DUCT-FAS Adhesive is a blue quick-setting,
synthetic elastomeric insulation adhesive. It has been
designed for use in attaching low density (up to 3#) duct
liner, duct wrap, and fibrous glass insulation to sheet metal.
Non-flammable chlorinated solvents eliminate explosion and
fire hazards during application.
DUCT-FAS Adhesive has full coverage spray
characteristics with little tendency to cobweb when applied
with conventional or airless spray equipment. It features
extremely fast tack and bond strength development.
DUCT-FAS Adhesive is non-flammable in the wet state and
fire resistive when dry. It meets the requirements of ASTM
C-916, Type II (ASC-A-7001, Type II).
DUCT-FAS Adhesive meets NFPA 90A and 90B
25/50 requirements.
DUCT-FAS Adhesive is produced under the classification
and follow-up service of Underwriter's Laboratories, Inc.
DUCT-FAS Adhesive contains no asbestos, lead, mercury,
or mercury compounds.
LIMITATIONS
Store and apply between 40F (4C) and 100F (38C).
Always test plastic materials for compatibility when using a
solvent base product.
Application equipment must not contain aluminum parts.
Not suggested for sealing vapor barrier jackets.
Overhead applications may require mechanical fasteners.

APPLICATION GUIDE
FOR
FOSTER DUCT-FAS ADHESIVE

(NON-FLAMMABLE)
MATERIAL PREPARATION
Stir well. DO NOT THIN. Apply only to clean, dry surfaces. Keep container closed when not in use to prevent solvent evaporation. If
stored below 60F, the product should be conditioned in its unopened container at room temperature for at least 24 hours before
usage.
APPLICATION
Clean all surfaces thoroughly. Make sure the surfaces are free of any oil residue. Apply a uniform coverage of adhesive to one
surface at 200-600 sq. ft./gal. (4.9-14.7 m2/l). While the adhesive is still wet, combine substrates with sufficient pressure to insure
100% contact. The solvents in this adhesive will attack polystyrene foam and might attack certain other plastic foams, films, or
laminates. The user should determine by prior test that this adhesive may be used with a specific material, and under the application
conditions which exist.
