THE Australian Competton and

said it will not oppose the Reckit

Johnson, in spite of the overlap in

owning Durex.
The ACCC considered that the
deal would not raise competton

CSIRO v Gordagen
THE Federal Court has dismissed
an applicaton for discovery by
Gordagen Pharmaceutcals Pty Ltd
from CSIRO.
Justce Middleton said Gordagen
had concerns that confdental
informaton disclosed to CSIRO had
been misused, with the discovery
intended to allow the company to
ascertain how its informaton was
being used within CSIRO.
CSIRO had ofered in April to
provide copies in confdence of
two patent specifcatons fled
by Zeenar Enterprises Pty Ltd,
with which Gordagen had not
sufciently engaged, to determine
where this informaton would lead,
the judge said.
The partes should have engaged
further, relevantly Gordagen, in
further negotatons relatng to the
provision of informaton prior to
Gordagen bringing the applicaton.
