EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

A. Type of Business. The type of business is a Dragon Fruit Farming
located at Calidngan, Carcar City Cebu.

1. Nature. The business is engaged in the distribution of the Dragon
Fruit mainly in major supermarkets in Cebu City as well as hotels and
restaurants, resorts in Lapu-lapu City and provinces. In addition, it
encourages individuals to venture with this kind of business to have
a good production in the locality.

2. Name. The proposed name of the business is Carcar Dragon Fruit
Farm.

3. Product. The business introduces the Dragon Fruit Farming in Cebu
City. Dragon fruit is a family of cactus and requires low rainfall
places like Carcar, which will be the perfect place to start on. It is
football-shaped and has a leathery, leafy skin that is deep red or
pink in color. It comes in three varieties, red flesh, white flesh and
yellow flesh, all of which are embedded with hundreds of black
seeds and have a mild, sweet taste. Dragon fruits are among the
many wonder fruits that are said to provide multiple health benefits.

B. Management, Marketing and Financial Highlights

Management. The proposed business will be registered in the form
of partnership. It will also acquire mayors permit, business permit,

barangay clearance and will be registered to the Department of Trade
and Industry.

Marketing. One of the most important aspects in a feasibility study is
marketing, because it is where the success of the business lies. The main
product is Dragon Fruit, but this study is not just to sell and profit but also to
introduce Dragon Fruit Farming in the community. This study was very
challenging, significant and timely as we can see.

The proponent does segmentation of target market since there are
differences between each individual as well as their preferences and
decided to segment the target market according to classes. The business
will be supplying the major super markets in Cebu city, including hotels
and restaurants as well as resorts in Lapu-Lapu city.

The supply of the product will grow each year and with continuous
effort to meet the high demand of dragon fruit in the market the
proponents will use technology that could enable the plants to bear fruit
on off season. To make the proposed business updated and timely
effective advertising programs are made. Qualified and well trained
personnel are hired for proper management and long term production of
the business.

Financial. The capitalization of the proposed business is
approximately six million (6,000,000) with equal contribution of each four
partners. There will be no sales in the first year of operation and an
estimated sale of one million four hundred fourteen thousand and three
hundred fifty pesos (1,414,350) in the second year.

C. Socio Economic Contributions

The business supports and promotes welfare to the society and to the
environment as well as the sustainability of the project. The business opts
to recognize that the interest and welfare should be geared towards
various stakeholders and the environment. Dragon Fruit farming helped in
poverty alleviation efforts by providing lucrative means of livelihood to the
people.

Other concern of the business is the safety of the environment.
Organic agriculture has become the major concern of the dragon fruit
farming. This crop can adapt to vulnerable conditions because of its
resilience to drought and not sensitive to changing climate conditions.

As a part of the responsibility, this can boost business and tourism
industry in Carcar City. Increasing business and tourism opportunities can
