This document provides instructions for collecting diagnostic information from systems using the SIMATIC Diagnostic Tool (SDT). It describes:
1. How to perform a local collection which requires launching SDT and clicking "Start Collecting" with no additional configuration.
2. How to perform a distributed collection across networked systems by creating profiles for each system, configuring diagnostic information to be collected, and starting collection.
3. How to collect diagnostic files from STARTER and SCOUT software by opening a specific XML file and clicking "Start Collecting".

D Configure process memory dumps during runtime This chapter will describe how to configure a process memory dump fetched during runtime and collected with SDT. Therefore download the "Procdump.zip" file from the Microsoft internet site: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/dd996900 and unpack the "procdump.exe" file into the subfolder "...\bin" 1. Create a profile using chapter B 2. Click configure process dumps
3. Select or enter desired process and click Add
4. Enter _DUMP_ALL_ to dump each process on system
