USAGE OF DEBIT CARD ONLINE

GUIDELINES TO CARDHODLERS
So far, our bank has enabled our credit cards only for usage online. Now, it
has been decided to enable the debit cards also for usage online due to
increasing demands from customers.
To provide additional security for online transaction, apart from the usual
static password created by the customer and known only to customer, a
dynamic password will be sent to the customer mobile number at the time
the customer tries an internet transaction.
To use the Debit Card for online transactions, the card holder has to do the
following procedure :

#fter entering the mobile phone number twice, the customer will get
an acknowledgment slip in proof of having completed the registration.
+hile transacting for the first time
+hile doing transaction online for the first time, the cardholder has to
visit our website www.vi!ayabank.com, using link verified by Visa
registration and create password. #fter entering the debit card
details, the system will prompt the customer to enter his%her
password. Cardholder can choose any password of his own and the
same has to be used for subse,uent usages online.
"y that time the customer would have received an S$S alert informing
him%her the (T& valid for the current session. Cardholder has to enter
the (T& received twice for the system to prompt for permanent
customer password.
'f the password is forgotten%to be changed, the customer need to
choose the option forgot password which will make the system to
prompt for OTP -one time password. from the cardholder.

to enter the static password created by them followed by the (T&

The daily limits for usage of Debit Card at merchants including internet
merchant is as under :

'f the cardholder has not swiped the card at merchants on that day, the full
limit can be used in internet.
+e also re,uest our Debit Card customers to apply for S$S alerts for
transactions in their operative account at the branch.
