typespraysprinklersdesignedforuse
inlight,ordinary,orextrahazard,com
mercial occupancies such as banks,
hotels, shopping malls, factories,
reneries,andchemicalplants.
The recessed version of the Series
TYBPendentSprinkler,whereappli
cable,isintendedforuseinareaswith
anishedceiling.Itusesatwopiece
Style10(1/2inchNPT)orStyle40(3/4
inchNPT)RecessedEscutcheon.The
Recessed Escutcheon provides 1/2
inch(12,7mm)ofrecessedadjustment
or up to 3/4 inch (19,1 mm) of total
adjustment from the ush pendent
position.Theadjustmentprovidedby
theRecessedEscutcheonreducesthe
accuracytowhichthexedpipedrops
tothesprinklersmustbecut.
Corrosion resistant coatings, where
applicable, are utilized to extend the
lifeofcopperalloysprinklersbeyond
thatwhichwouldotherwisebeobtained
when exposed to corrosive atmo
spheres.Althoughcorrosionresistant
coated sprinklers have passed the
standardcorrosiontestsoftheappli
cable approval agencies, the testing
is not representative of all possible
corrosiveatmospheres.Consequently,
itisrecommendedthattheenduser
