BS7629-1
Clause 26.2
FP200 GOLD
>
The original highly durable and dressable, easy to terminate
and install re resistant cable. Approved for re detection and
re alarm critical signal paths in BS5839-1:2002 "standard"
application areas, voice alarm systems to BS5839-8:1998
(Amd 2006) and emergency lighting systems to BS5266-1:2005.
Thechangesto cabletest methodsand requirements rst introduced
by BS5839-1:2002 Fire detection and re alarm systems for
buildings - Part 1: Code of practice for system design, installation,
commissioning and maintenance mean that re resistant
cables must now be approved against new test requirements.
APPROVALS
>
In addition to approvals to BS7629-1 and BS6387 Category CWZ,
FP200 Gold has received BASEC and LPCB approval to BS58391:2002 for 'standard' applications. This includes approval to
EN50200 Classi cation PH30 and the new integrated re, shock and
water test BS8434-1 for 30 minutes. FP200 Gold is also approved
to EN 50200 classi cation PH60 as required by BS5266-1:2005.
DATA CAPABILITY
>
FP200 Gold has excellent data/signal transmission characteristics
making it ideal for voice alarm, addressable and networked
systems.
INSTALLATION
>
In accordance with the new BS5839-1and BS5266-1
requirements, cables must be supported by a xing that
can withstand the same re conditions as the cable. To meet
this requirement the use of Prysmian AP LSOH coated metal
P - clips or the new FP Fire xTM rapid xing system
is recommended.
