Having heard the learned counsel for the parties to the


lis and also in view of the peculiar facts and circumstances of

the case, we deem it appropriate to release the petitioner on
bail.

Accordingly, we direct that the petitioner be released

on bail, subject to the satisfaction of the Trial Court.


We request the High Court to consider and dispose of the
appeal on merits at the earliest.
We direct the petitioner to co-operate in the hearing of
the appeal before the High Court.
If, for any reason, the petitioner does not co-operate in
the hearing of the appeal, the respondents are at liberty to
approach

this

Court

with

an

appropriate

application

modification of the order passed today.


The Special Leave Petition is disposed of accordingly.
