WARNING: DO NOT ATTEMPT TO DISASSEMBLE THE OBERON LEVER AS THIS COULD RESULT IN
MECHANISM DAMAGE AND ULTIMATELY LEVER FAILURE.

Installing the Brake or Clutch Lever

Please read instructions fully before commencing

The Oberon RADIAL CAM System incorporated in this new lever will ease operation adjustment.

Preparation: Before installing your new purchase ensure you have the necessary tools to hand, which
should include a small pair of circlip pliers and your workshop manual to restore any manufacturers
recommended settings.

1.

Please follow the correct method (referring to owners manual) for removing and fitting either the Clutch or Brake lever.
Where fitted with a microswitch you will need to take special care as the switch is quite delicate. We would suggest
removing the handlebar clamping screws underneath the switchgear housing to allow the cover to be opened slightly
and permit viewing of the microswitch whilst disassembly and reassembly takes place.

2.

Carefully remove the original lever retaining any spacers, anti-rattle shims and additional original fittings as these will be
required on reassembly.

3.

Before removing the Clutch Lever on cable operated models we would advise measuring the adjuster length to aide
re-adjustment in the absence of a workshop manual.

4.

Insert any bushes and anti rattle shims in the new lever prior to fitting the new Oberon RADIAL CAM

Lever .

We supply an M4 Bolt to secure the anti rattle shim, which is pre-fitted to the clutch lever.

5.

Check the action of each lever, ensuring that Brake and Clutch operate as normal in switch position 4 or 5. Then adjusting
from this average position choose your preferred setting to obtain your optimum preference.

NB: These levers have been designed to increase the adjustability of the lever position. You should ascertain for yourself the
suitability of these levers before any road or track use. **CHECK the Clutch side for correct microswitch actuation as the closest
setting may not actuate the start function on some models and may prevent you using the last position without modification.
The Levers come with a manufacturers warranty. Refer to www.oberon-performance.co.uk for further details.
