provided a delightful program of Holiday songs of the
season.
Several Paul Harris Fellow recognitions were given to
Kevin Reneau, Nora Avelar-Martin and Larry
Tessler.
A beautifully decorated basket table center piece was
donated by Dianne Wilson, and presented to the
holder of the winning ticket.
With a presentation of Reflections of Christmas by an
Old Man, Cliff Dochterman told of some personal
Christmas experiences and sage advice for gift giving
to seniors in your life. He was presented with a 90 year
old birthday cake (the cake was not 90 years old the
ol man is celebrating his ninetieth birthday this week.)
The enjoyable evening was brought to a closing as
Michele Robbins, led the group in the traditional,
Silent Night..
DINNER WITH WORLD ROTARY PRESIDENT
Many of you will remember the World President of
Rotary, Ravi Ravindran from Sri Lanka, visited our
Club a year and a half ago. We have the opportunity
to meet him again on Sunday, January 3rd in San
Jose at a special regional Rotary dinner. Moraga
Rotary has reserved a table for 10 for the occasion.
If you would like to join us, let Roger know of your

GUESTS
We had a fabulous group of guests, spouses,
and friends join us for the annual Moraga Rotary
Christmas and Holiday Party.

TOYS FOR TOTS COLLECTION DEC. 15
Moraga Rotary is working with the US Marine Corps
and their Toys for Tots program to provide toys for
needy children this holiday. Bring an unwrapped
present to our meeting on December 15th and help
make a childs holiday.
MORAGA ROTARY CHRISTMAS DINNER
Once again, John & Mary Sue Erickson engineered a
fabulous Christmas Holiday Dinner at the Miramonte
Gardens Clubhouse. Fifty-five menbers and guests
joined in the festivities of fun, music and good food! The
hall and tables were beautifully decorated with a theme
of lighthouses and each guest was presented with a
personally constructed tugboat Christmas Tree
decoration, handmade by John Erickson ( with the
help and encouragement of Mary Sue.) The lighthouse
centerpieces were given to 8 lucky winners.
A talented octet from the Campolinda High Choir
Event chair, Frank May will be mailing two lists to
club members detailing the local merchants that we
will ask for auction donations, as well as a list of
potential attendees at the event. Please take a look
at these lists and send any suggested additions or
deletions to Frank at

Races 2016!! December 28th at 10 AM at the Mays
home Donation request envelope stuffing and Save
the Date Cards preparation and mailing. January 4th

Captain John and First Mate Mary Sue steered another
fabulous Moraga Christmas Dinner Party!
All guests received a beautiful tugboat Christmas
decoration constructed by Captain John Erickson.
An octet of the Campo High Choir provided a delightful
selection of Holiday songs.
Cliff Dochterman spoke about his recollections of
Christmas and advice about Christmas for seniors.
