NISSAN PAN EUROPE WARRANTY INFORMATION
Nissan Europe S.A.S. issues a warranty for each new Nissan vehicle sold, registered and operated in European countries where
authorised Nissan dealers are located. Within the period of time and mileage specified in each section below, an authorised Nissan
dealer will repair or replace free of charge those parts or components which are covered by the sections description and which prove
defective in materials or workmanship. Parts which are excluded from warranty are listed under what is not covered. The method of
repairing or replacing is to be determined by the dealer.
1.1
NEW VEHICLE WARRANTY
New Vehicle Warranty covers all parts and components
of each new Nissan vehicle supplied by Nissan which
prove defective in materials or workmanship.
New Vehicle Warranty is valid for 3 years from the
warranty start date or 60,000 miles, whichever comes
first.
1.2
The Paint Warranty covers painted body parts (excluding
the underbody) which suffer from paint defects as a result
of defective materials or workmanship.
The period for the Paint Warranty is 3 years from warranty start date, regardless of mileage driven.
1.3
1.1a TOWING WARRANTY
During New Vehicle Warranty, if your vehicle becomes
inoperative due to a warrantable defect, towing service,
when necessary, to the nearest authorised Nissan dealer
is covered.
1.1b TOURING ASSISTANCE

abroad takes more than six hours to repair, the Touring
Assistance programme pays for a hotel room or a rental
car up to a certain maximum. See page 6 for details.
PAINT WARRANTY
PERFORATION FROM CORROSION
WARRANTY
The Perforation From Corrosion Warranty covers body
sheet metal panels which suffer from inside-to-outside
perforation from corrosion as a result of defective
materials or workmanship. The period for the Perforation
From Corrosion Warranty is either 6 or 12 years
(depending on the vehicle model) from warranty start date,
regardless of mileage driven. Please see the table on
page 17 for which applies to your vehicle.
This warranty requires that the vehicle is inspected
according to the inspection schedule on pages 38-46,
and repaired if necessary, by an authorised Nissan dealer.
1.4
GENUINE PARTS AND ACCESSORIES
WARRANTY
Nissan Europe S.A.S. issues a warranty for all Nissan
genuine parts and accessories installed on a Nissan
vehicle by an authorised Nissan dealer to be free from
defects in materials or workmanship. The Genuine Parts
and Accessories Warranty applies to parts purchased by
the customer and installed on a Nissan vehicle by an
authorised Nissan dealer and has a duration of one year
from the date of installation, regardless of mileage driven.
However, when the vehicle on which the part is installed
is covered by Nissan New Vehicle Warranty, this warranty
will not end before New Vehicle Warranty. For a customer
to exercise his or her right to this warranty, he or she
must provide evidence of the part installation date by
means of the invoice.
2.
2.1
THINGS YOU SHOULD KNOW ABOUT
NISSAN PAN EUROPE WARRANTY
TYRES
Tyres, even when originally installed on new Nissan
vehicles, are warranted by the tyre manufacturer. An
authorised Nissan dealer will assist you in making a
warranty claim for tyres if necessary.
2.2
PRE-DELIVERY INSPECTION
To make sure you will be completely satisfied with your
new Nissan from the very start, it has been inspected
thoroughly and prepared before delivery according to
Nissans New Vehicle Pre-Delivery Inspection Procedure.
2.3
PERIODIC MAINTENANCE SERVICE
The periodic maintenance services are a minimum
requirement for warranty. They should be performed in
accordance with the Nissan recommended maintenance
schedule. Additional maintenance service may be
required since weather and atmospheric conditions,
varying roads, vehicle usage and individual driving habits
greatly influence the need for such service.
2.4
SERVICE DEALER
It is recommended that periodic maintenance be performed by an authorised Nissan dealer. He will have a
direct interest in your satisfaction as a Nissan customer.
Nissan dealers are familiar with your vehicle and are
updated regularly on each Nissan model. They are
equipped and trained to provide optimum service to your
Nissan vehicle.
2.5
GENUINE NISSAN PARTS AND
ACCESSORIES
Genuine Nissan parts and accessories are designed by
or for Nissan for use on Nissan vehicles. Using genuine
Nissan parts and accessories is indispensable for safe
driving and lower overall running cost. Only genuine
Nissan parts and accessories are covered by Nissans
Genuine Parts And Accessories Warranty.
2.6

These dealers are listed with their address and telephone
number in the Pan Europe Service Dealer List which is
supplied with the vehicle.
This booklet must be presented to an authorised Nissan
dealer when a warranty repair is necessary, at home and
abroad. Therefore it is essential that the Warranty Booklet
is kept in your vehicle wherever it goes. Instructions to
foreign dealers in several languages, printed on pages
7-8, may be useful when needing a warranty repair
abroad.
2.7

notice and without any obligation to make such changes
on vehicles that have been sold in the past.

VEHICLE MAINTENANCE &
SERVICE SCHEDULE INFORMATION
This section is designed to help you identify the maintenance requirements for your Nissan vehicle.
Section (a) contains information on General Maintenance which can be performed by you or your Nissan dealer.
Section (b) enables you to understand which service schedule is applicable to your vehicle.
Section (c) contains specific details on Nissan Service Schedules.
Having identified, in Section (b), which schedule applies to your vehicle, Section (c) will show you exactly
which type of service is required and when.
If your Nissan vehicle is used in severe driving conditions some additional servicing may be required.
Details of these can be found in Section (d).
Your Nissan dealer can provide further advice on this subject if required.
12
a. GENERAL INFORMATION ON SERVICING
Your new Nissan has been designed to have minimum maintenance requirements with longer service
intervals to save you both time and money. However,
some day-to-day and regular maintenance is essential
to maintain your Nissans good mechanical condition, as
well as its emission and engine performance.
It is the owners responsibility to make sure that the
specified maintenance, as well as general maintenance,
is performed.
As the vehicle owner, you are the only one who can
ensure that your vehicle receives the proper maintenance care. You are a vital link in the maintenance
chain.
GENERAL MAINTENANCE
General maintenance includes those items which
should be checked during normal day-to-day operation
of the vehicle. They are essential if your vehicle is to
continue to operate properly. It is your responsibility to
perform these procedures regularly as prescribed.
However, under severe driving conditions, additional or
more frequent maintenance will be required.
WHERE TO GO FOR SERVICE
If maintenance service is required or your vehicle appears to malfunction, have the systems checked and
tuned by an authorized Nissan dealer.
Nissan technicians are well-trained specialists and
are kept up to date with the latest service information through technical bulletins, service tips, and indealership training programs. They are completely
qualified to work on Nissans vehicles before they work
on your vehicle, rather than after they have worked on it.
You can be confident that your Nissan dealers service
department performs the best job to meet the maintenance requirements on your vehicle in a reliable and
economic way.
These checks or inspections can be done by yourself,
a qualified technician or, if you prefer, your Nissan
dealer.
PERIODIC MAINTENANCE
The maintenance items listed in this part are required to
be serviced at regular intervals.
13
GENERAL MAINTENANCE
During the normal day-to-day operation of the vehicle,
general maintenance should be performed regularly as
prescribed in this section. If you detect any unusual
sounds, vibrations or smell, be sure to check for the
cause or have your Nissan dealer do it promptly. In
addition, you should notify your Nissan dealer if you
think that repairs are required.
When driving in areas using road salt or other corrosive
materials, check for lubrication frequently.
Windscreen washer fluid Check that there is adequate fluid in the tank.
Tyre rotation Tyres should be rotated every 6,000
miles (10,000 km).
Engine coolant level Check the coolant level when
the engine is cold.
INSIDE THE VEHICLE
Engine oil level Check the level after parking the
vehicle on a level spot and turning off the engine.
When performing any checks or maintenance work
closely observe the precautions in the Do-it-yourself
operations section of your Owners manual.
The maintenance items listed here should be checked
on a regular basis, such as when performing periodic
maintenance, cleaning the vehicle, etc.
Additional information on the following items with is
found in the Do-it-yourself operations section.
Lights Make sure that the headlights, stop lights, tail
lights, turn signal lights, and other lights are all operating properly and installed securely. Also check headlight aim.
OUTSIDE THE VEHICLE
The maintenance items listed here should be performed
weekly, unless otherwise specified.
Warning lights and buzzers Make sure that all warning lights and buzzers are operating properly.
Tyres Check the pressure with a gauge periodically
when at a service station (including the spare) and
adjust to the specified pressure if necessary. Check
carefully for damage, cuts or excessive wear.
Steering wheel Check for change in the steering conditions, such as excessive free play, hard steering or
strange noises.
Windscreen wiper blades Check for cracks or wear
if they do not wipe properly.
Doors and bonnet Check that all doors, bonnet, boot
lid and tailgate operate properly. Also ensure that all
latches lock securely. Lubricate hinges, latches, rollers
and links if necessary. Make sure that the secondary
latch keeps the bonnet from opening when the primary
latch is released.
Seat belts Check that all parts of the seat belt system
(e.g. buckles, anchors, adjusters and retractors) operate
properly and smoothly, and are installed securely. Check
the belt webbing for cuts, fraying, wear or damage.
UNDER THE BONNET AND VEHICLE
The maintenance items listed here should be checked
periodically e.g. each time you check the engine oil or

Brake fluid level Make sure that the brake fluid level
is between the MAX and MIN lines on the reservoir.
Battery Check the fluid level in each cell. It should
be between the MAX and MIN lines.
PERIODIC MAINTENANCE
The following tables list the periodic maintenance and servicing required to ensure good engine and emission control
system performance and good mechanical condition of your
new vehicle. These matters should be attended to by a
Nissan dealer.
Periodic maintenance means that your vehicle will require
servicing either on a time or mileage based schedule. If you
typically travel less than 18,000 miles per year, your vehicle
will require servicing on a time-based interval. If, however,
you typically travel more than 18,000 miles per year, your
vehicle will require servicing on a mileage-based interval.
Please use the table on page 17 to identify the correct
servicing regime for you. From there you will be directed to
the appropriate checklist for your vehicle. Note that these
checklists show the maintenance schedule for normal
usage. Depending on weather and atmospheric conditions,
varying road surfaces, individual driving habits and vehicle
usage, additional or more frequent maintenance may be
required. See Maintenance under severe driving conditions
for more information.
Periodic maintenance beyond the last period shown in
the tables is required at the same intervals.
15
b. WHICH SERVICE SCHEDULE SUITS MY VEHICLE?
The service schedule, which you should use to correctly
maintain your Nissan vehicle, depends on two things:
a. the type of engine
b. your annual mileage
Use the table opposite to decide which schedule to use
and then refer to the page numbers in the last column
to see what is included in each service type and when
they should be carried out.
If you have any questions regarding these service
schedules, please contact your local Nissan dealer.

PETROL AND DIESEL ENGINES WITH A 9000 MILE SERVICE INTERVAL
TRAVELLING LESS THAN 18,000 MILES PER YEAR
The table below will show you how to decide which service is due on your vehicle.
You should read the table from the left hand side. In the first column, you can see that the first service is due at either one year
or 9000 miles. When you reach either of these milestones, your vehicle is due for its first service. The type of service is shown
on the bottom line. In this case it will be a P1 service. The P1 service checklist is shown on the opposite page.
Once this service has been performed, the next service is due when you reach 2 years or 18,000 miles. This is a P2 service
(again, the checklist is shown opposite). At three years or 27,000 miles, whichever you reach first, another P1 service should
be carried out and so on throughout the vehicles life.
Some additional service items are shown in the right hand corner of the service checklist. These items will be carried out in addition to
the standard services when required.

TURBOCHARGED PETROL AND ALL DIESEL VEHICLES
TRAVELLING LESS THAN 18,000 MILES PER YEAR
(except D22 Pickup TD25 n/a)
The normal service interval for these vehicles is 6000 miles or 6 months. Some Nissan diesel engines require more frequent
oil change intervals. The Cabstar (model code F23) requires an oil change every 3000 miles. The Pickup (model code D22)
with a normally aspirated TD25 engine requires an oil change every 4500 miles (for this vehicle, see page 32).
The information below will show you how to decide which service is due on your vehicle.
For a vehicle with a 6000 mile /6 month interval, you should read the table below from the left hand side. In this case,
you can see that the first service is due at either six months or 6000 miles. When you reach either of these milestones, your vehicle
is due for its first service. The type of service is shown on the bottom line. In this case it is a D1 service. The D1 service checklist is
shown on the opposite page. Once this service has been performed, the next service is due when you reach 1 year or 12,000 miles.
This is a D2 service (again, the checklist is shown opposite). At 18 months or 18,000 miles, whichever you reach first, another
D1 service should be carried out and so on throughout the vehicles life.

TURBOCHARGED PETROL AND ALL DIESEL VEHICLES
TRAVELLING MORE THAN 18,000 MILES PER YEAR
(except D22 Pickup TD25 n/a)
The table below will show you how to decide which service is due on your vehicle.
You should read the table from the left hand side. In the first column, you can see that the first service is due at 6,000 miles.
When you reach this milestone, your vehicle is due for its first service. The type of service is shown on the bottom line.
In this case it will be a FD1 service. The FD1 service checklist is shown on the opposite page.
Once this service has been performed, the next service is due when you reach 12,000 miles. Again this is a FD1 service.
At 18,000 miles a FD2 service should be carried out (again, the checklist is shown opposite) and so on, throughout
the vehicles life.

PETROL AND DIESEL ENGINES
WITH A 24,000 MILE SERVICE INTERVAL
The table below will show you how to decide which service is due on your vehicle.
You should read the table from the left hand side. In the first column, you can see that the first service is due at 2 years or
24,000 miles.
When you reach this milestone, your vehicle is due for its first service. The type of service is shown on the bottom line.
In this case it will be a R1 service. The R1 service checklist is shown on the opposite page.
Once this service has been performed, the next service is due when you reach 4 years or 48,000 miles. This is a R2 service
(again, the checklist is shown opposite).
Some additional service items are shown in the right hand corner of the service checklist. These items will be carried out in addition to
the standard services when required.
