sip
easy for the Schneider Electric ION6200
INTRODUCTION
The SIP Easy service provides a central location to download backup files
for a range of protocol specific devices, including ModBus meters, air
handling units, generators, chillers, etc. Individual slave specific backup files
have been developed to help reduce engineering time and cost, and to meet
the demand for more information and better energy control.
The SIP products, used in conjunction with a Trend BeMS (Building energy
Management System), can help ensure a building complies with latest Part
L2 Building regulations.
APPLICATION
This service provides files for automatically populating the SIP Modbus/vIQ with a Schneider Electric ION6200 slave
configuration. Each backup file automatically configures up to 32 slaves (from slave address 1) according to the SIP
product license and up to 50 ModBus registers from each slave address. The pre-defined Modbus registers at the
configured slave addresses are mapped to Trend modules (i.e. Sensors, Digital Inputs, Knobs or Switches) in the
equivalent number of virtual out-stations (vIQ). Each vIQ provides the interface to the Trend BeMS and includes an
associated set of energy usage calculations that are used to determine the total amount of energy used over each 30
minute period.
This Backup file is only applicable when the meter is configured to operate as a slave.
