Utensilsmadefromthefollowingmaterialsarerecommended:Gold,
Silver,Copper,Bronze,Brass,Iron,Clay,Ivory,Glass,Woodfrom
sacredtrees,Bones,LeatherandLeaves.2,3
TheShivambuone'sownurineshouldbecollectedinautensilmadeof
anyofthesematerials.Amongthem,clayutensilsarebetter,copperare
byfarthebest.4
Theintendingpractitionerofthetherapyshouldabjuresaltyorbitter
foods,shouldnotoverexerthimself,shouldtakealightmealinthe
evening,shouldsleepontheground,andshouldcontrolandmasterhis
senses.5
Thesagaciouspractitionershouldgetupwhenthreequartersofthenight
haveelapsed,andshouldpassurinewhilefacingtheeast.6

Thewiseoneshouldleaveoutthefirstandthelastportionsoftheurine,
andcollectonlythemiddleportion.Thisisconsideredthebest
procedure.7
Justasthereispoisoninthemouthandthetailoftheserpent,OParvati,
itisevensointhecaseoftheflowofShivambu.8
Shivambuautourineisheavenlynectar,whichiscapableof
destroyingsenilityanddiseases.ThepractitionerofYogashouldtakeit
beforeproceedingwithhisotherrituals.9
Aftercleansingthemouth,andperformingtheotheressentialmorning
functions,oneshoulddrinkone'sownclearurine,whichistheannihilator
ofsenilityanddiseases.10
OnewhodrinksShivambuforthedurationofamonthwillbepurified
internally.Drinkingitfortwomonthsstimulatesandenergizesthe
senses.11
Drinkingitforthreemonthsdestroysalldiseasesandfreesonefromall
troubles.Bydrinkingitforfivemonths,oneacquiresdivinevisionand
freedomfromalldiseases.12
Continuationofthepracticeforsixmonthsmakesthepractitionerhighly
intelligentandproficientinthescriptures,andifthedurationisseven
months,thepractitioneracquiresextraordinarystrength.13
Ifthepracticeiscontinuedforeightmonths,oneacquiresapermanent
glowlikethatofgold,andifitiscontinuedforninemonths,oneisfreed
fromtuberculosisandleprosy.14
Tenmonthsofthispracticemakesoneaveritabletreasuryofluster.
Elevenmonthsofitwouldpurifyalltheorgansofthebody.15
Amanwhohascontinuedthepracticeforayearbecomestheequalof
thesuninradiance.Hewhohascontinuedfortwoyearsconquersthe
elementEarth.16
Ifthepracticeiscontinuedforthreeyears,oneconquerstheelementof
Water,andifitiscontinuedforfouryears,theelementLightisalso
conquered.17
HewhocontinuesthepracticeforfiveyearsconquerstheelementAir,
andhewhocontinuesitforsevenyearsconquerspride.18
Continuationofthepracticeforeightyearsenablesonetoconquerall
theimportantelementsofNature,andcontinuationofitfornineyears
freesonefromthecycleofbirthanddeath.19
Onewhohascontinuedthepracticefortenyearscanflythroughtheair
withouteffort.Onewhohascontinueditforelevenyearsisabletohear
thevoiceofhissourinnerself.20

Hewhohascontinuedthepracticefortwelveyearswilllivesolongas
themoonandthestarslast.Heisnottroubledbydangerousanimals
suchassnakes,andnopoisonscankillhim.Hecannotbeconsumedby
fire,andcanfloatonwaterjustlikewood.21

Pleaselistenattentively.Hewhotakespowderedamritagaduchi,
TinosporaCondifoliamixedwithAutoUrinehabituallyforsixmonths,is

Powderedharitakiharade,TerminaliaChebulashouldbeassiduously
takenwithShivambu.Thiscombinationdestroysseniledegenerationand

ofathousandelephants,andlivesaslongasthemoonandthestars

IfpowderedpepperandTriphalaChoornamixedpowderofTerminalia
Belavica,TerminaliaChebulandPhylonthusEmbicamixedwith
Shivambuaretakenregularly,oneacquiredaradiancelikethatofthe
gods.27
Theessencebhasmaofmicaandsulphershouldbetakenwith
Shivambualongwithalittlewater.Thiscuresaldisorderscausedby
malfunctioningofthedigestivesystemandalldisorderscausedbythe
Vatahumour.Hewhotakessuchamixtureregularlybecomestrong,
acquiresadivineradiance,andcancheattimeescapetheravagesof
