Feature description
The AP 1120 supports the connection of Group 3 Fax devices, analog Modems and voice terminals via IP. The installation is done via the board STMI2 (Q2316-X / - X10) as HG3530 (FCTID=3) in the HiPath 4000 V2.0. It is also possible to use the AP 1120 on a HiPath 3000 with
H323v3 and SIP. In the HiPath 4000 V2.0 the Codec G.711 is supported. The AP 1120 is administered with the Tool Unit Management Network (UMN). All settings, which are necessary for the HiPath 4000 V2.0, and Software-Updates have to be done by this UMN-Tool.

Computer: A 10/100 BaseT Ethernet RJ-45 connector that can be connected into the network card of a computer. In this case, the HiPath AP1120 acts as a small Ethernet switch. It is possible to use either a cross-over or straight Ethernet cable to
connect in the Computer connector. The Computer connector performs automatic MDI / MDIX detection, meaning that it adapts to the type of cable connected
to it.
Network: A 10/100 BaseT Ethernet RJ-45 connector for access to a LAN, WAN or computer. It can also be used as remote power feeding and is IEEE 802.3af compliant
and Power DSine certified. It is possible to use either a cross-over or straight
Ethernet cable to connect in the Network connector. The Network connector performs automatic MDI / MDIX detection, meaning that it adapts to the type of cable
connected to it.

Checking the loaded AP 1120 software
The AP 1120 must be loaded with the CorNet-IP software. If the AP 1120 is not loaded with the right software, a flash action is necessary (see Loading AP 1120 Software (Flashing)). For flashing an AP1120 the Tool UMN and a TFTP software is
necessary on the Admin-PC.

Connect the AP 1120, Port COMPUTER, with the Admin-PC directly (straight or crossed
over cable can be used). Change the IP-Address of your PC, e.g. to 192.168.0.20 with Subnet-Maske 255.255.255.0.

Preparation for Loading AP 1120 Software (Flashing)
The Tool Unit Management Network (UMN) must be installed on the Admin-PC.
The directory-/file-structure of the TFTP-Server (PC):
If an AP 1120 is changed from H323 resp. SIP to CorNet-IP the loaded software
(H323 / SIP) is downloaded again before the CorNet-IP-Software can be transfered.
If it is an Upgrade of a CorNet-IP version to a newer one the download of the same
software is not necessary. After a Software change from H323/SIP to CorNet-IP a
Factory Reset must be executed !!!
Only an AP 1120 with Software H323 v4 can be migrated to CorNet-IP v1 !!!

Backup the AP 1120 data
To backup the AP 1120 data, a file with the name MacXXXXXX.cfg is created on the
Admin-PC (Upload). This file can be restored during trouble shooting or AP 1120
change (Download). So the AP 1120 has not be configured again in case of error.
