Check Point Certificate Installation Procedure

Step -1
Download the file NIT_CERT.cer for Checkpointfrom software vault (http://192.168.1.126).
Click on Licensed Software titles A-Z CheckPoint Certificate (open the folder)
Open the CheckPoint Certificate folder Right click on the link Click on Save link as... and save it
on desktop.

Step - 2
Install Certificate (NIT_CERT.cer) in Trusted Certification List in your Browser

Internet Explorer

On the Menu Bar, click Tools > Internet Options to display the Internet Options window.
Switch to Content tab and under Certificates section, click on Certificates to display Certificates Window.
Switch to Trusted Root Certification Authorities tab and click on Import button to start Certificate
Import Wizard.
Import the Certificate (NIT_CERT.cer) downloaded in Step 1 using the wizard.

Firefox

On the Menu Bar, Click on Tools > Options to display the Options window.
Switch to Advanced tab under which select Encryption tab.
OR
Click on Advanced tab and switch to Certificates tab
Click View Certificate to display the Certificate Manager window.
Switch to Authorities tab and click Import.
Select the Certificate (NIT_CERT.cer) downloaded in Step 1 and click Open.
Check all the options as shown below and Click on OK. Certificate installation process is complete now.

Google Chrome

On the right corner of the Address Bar, Click on Chrome Tools button and Click on Settings.
Click on Show advanced settings... (Placed at bottom of the page).
Scroll down to HTTPS/SSL.
Click on Manage Certificates... to display the Certificates window.
Switch to Trusted Root Certification Authorities tab and Click on Import to start Certificate Import
Wizard.
Import the Certificate (NIT_CERT.cer) downloaded in Step 1 using Wizard as shown below.

Click on OK. Certificate installation process is complete now.

Microsoft Edge on Windows 10:


1. Type "Internet Explorer" in the Search Box.
2. Click on "Internet Explorer" in the Search Window to open it.

3. Now "Internet Explorer" will open.


4. On the Menu Bar, click on Tools > Internet Options to display the Internet Options
window.
5. Switch to Content tab and under Certificates section, click on Certificates to display
Certificates Window.
6. Switch to Trusted Root Certification Authorities tab and click on Import button to
start Certificate Import Wizard.
7. Import the Certificate (NIT_CERT.cer) downloaded in Step 1 using the wizard.

OR
1. Open any website on Microsoft Edge.
2. Open Menu window and click on "Open with Internet Explorer" as shown below.

3. Now "Internet Explorer" will open.


4. On the Menu Bar, click on Tools > Internet Options to display the Internet Options
window.
5. Switch to Content tab and under Certificates section, click on Certificates to display
Certificates Window.
6. Switch to Trusted Root Certification Authorities tab and click on Import button to
start Certificate Import Wizard.
7. Import the Certificate (NIT_CERT.cer) downloaded in Step 1 using the wizard.
