2. What are the ground rules for our class?
According to the syllabus, the ground rules are:

We emulate a professional business and academic environment.

Be there, mentally as well as physically.

We start on time, and end on time.

To show respect and that one person speaks at a time, and to listen attentively.

Be prepared for class.

When we are here, we stay here. We take care of our personal business before or after
class.

NO electronic devices turned on in class. Cell phones, smart phones, iPods, iPads or any
other electronic device or other electronic equipment must be turned off. No texting in
class.

3. List all the Tuesdays that class does NOT meet this semester.
No classs scheduled on September 20th, October 4th, and October 11th
4. What is plagiarism according to the CUNY policy on Academic Integrity?
According to CUNY Policy on Academic Integrity, on the York College website
and in the syllabus given Plagiarism is the act of presenting another persons ideas,
research or writings as your own.
5. On what date and at what time is the Ethics Case Study due?

The ethics case study is due on November 15th at 6pm before class starts.
6. How are late homeworks graded?
According to the syllabus it states that homework submitted after the due date and
time will receive half credit. Any homework assignment submitted more than one week
late will receive no credit.
7. There are 23 homework assignments worth 100 points each. A student received a 90% on
19 homeworks, but did not hand in four of the homeworks. What is the students overall
homework grade?
90/100 = 0.9
19/23 = 0.826
0.9 x 0.826 =0.743
0.743 x 100= 74.3
Students overall homework grade is 74.3 which is a C
8. Answer these questions based on the grading structure as listed in the course outline, and
the Excel grade calculator on Blackboard. What final semester total points, and letter
