RATIONALE:
The Eco-Savers Program of Western Bicutan
National High School is a program envisioned out
of Republic Act 9003 of the Ecological solid Waste
Management Act of 2001. This act requires the
DepEd
to
strengthen
the
integration
of
environmental concerns in school curricula, with
particular emphasis on the theory and practice of
resource conservation, recovery, segregation at
source and recycling.
OBJECTIVES:
This project proposal specifically aims the following:
To increase awareness to faculty, staff, and students to
practice waste segregation and recovery of recyclable
waste.
To ensure an efficient and
management system in school.

staff, and students and the importance of savings through
waste segregation program.

DESCRIPTION:
This project will encourage the faculty, staff and
students to practice waste segregation and
collection of recyclable materials in school which
could teach them the value of discipline and
concern for the environment and protection as it
relates to sustainable development.
In order to achieve this project, the school will
purchase waste segregation bins.
The proceeds of the recyclable materials will be
used in purchasing additional segregation bins to
be placed in every floors of the school building.
