eNodeB commissioning guide (LMT)
1. LMPT- Connect the ethernet cable on your laptop
NIC and the other end on the LMPT, ETH port.
OR
UMPT- Connect the ethernet cable on your laptop
NIC and the other end on the RJ45-to-USB
adapter then the other end of the adapter on the
UMPT, USB port.
2. Configure your laptops IP
- Your IP address should be in the same subnet
as the eNodeBs Local Maintenance IP
(192.168.0.49 mask 255.255.255.0)
- E.g. 192.168.0.50
By Alan Letswele
3. Login the eNodeB using the LMT
- Open your web browser and on the address
bar type in the eNodeBs Local Maintenance IP
(192.168.0.49)
- User Name: admin
- Password: hwbs@com
- Enter the Verify Code as it apears on the right
side of the text box.
By Alan Letswele
4. Click on the MML tab.
5. Check the software version.
- Command: LST VER
- Current software version must be
V100R005C00SPC340
By Alan Letswele
6.Saving the eNodeB scripts in your PC
- Create a folder on your desktop
- Download and save the eNodeB script in the
folder you just created.
- Rename the eNodeB configuration data file
(script) to LMT.XML
7. Configure your FTP server as follows. If you
dont have it then double click and run this
SFTPServer.exe
file:
- User name: admin
- Password: admin
By Alan Letswele
- Working directory: (path to the folder where you
saved the eNodeB script)
8.Download the configuration script into the
eNodeB
-
Command: DLD CFGFILE
IP Mode: IPV4(IPv4)
Server IP: 192.168.0.50
FTP user name: admin
FTP password: admin
By Alan Letswele
9.Activate the CFGFILE
- Command: ACT CFGFILE
- Effect mode: IMMEDIATELY
By Alan Letswele
- After this the eNodeB is going to reset and you
will be logged out of the LMT. Login again!
10.
Confirm that the CFGFILE was
successfully activated
- Command: LST ENODEB
- Confirm that the eNodeB ID and the eNodeB
name are the same as the ones on the planned
data

11.
-
Command: DSP S1INTERFACE
S1Interface State must be NORMAL!
S1 SCTP Link State must be NORMAL!
If any of the above is ABNORMAL please
contact your support engineer.
By Alan Letswele
12.
Check the OML (Operation and
Maintenance Link)
- NB: If the OM Channel status is Abnormal
then the OML is DOWN. Contact the OMC
engineer for assistance
By Alan Letswele
13. Check GPS antenna State
- DSP GPS
- The GPS card state must be Normal
- The number of GPS antennas traced must be
greater than 4!
- If either one of the two above statements is
not so then contact the support engineer for
troubleshooting.
14. Loading the License
-
If OM is UP then run this command:
INS
LICENSE:DIR="/export/home/backup/ne/eNodeB/License",FN="Demo_LTE_V100R005_ALL_2
0120910.dat",FLG=YES,MODE=IPV4,IP="10.148.18.134",USR="root",PWD="root";
If OM is NOT UP then follow the below
procedure:
- Save this file in a folder on your PC
Demo_LTE_V100R005_ALL_20120910.dat
By Alan Letswele
- Command: INS LICENSE
- Directory name: (Directory path where you
saved this file)
- File name:
Demo_LTE_V100R005_ALL_20120910.dat
- Force flag: YES
- IP mode: IPV4(Pv4)
- FTPServer IP: 192.168.0.50
- User name: admin
- User password: admin

PS:1.This checklist is based on the status that OMCH is ok and we can maintain the site from
M2000.
2.For site configuration check, you must have the planning data from Mars and compare
the planning data with the data inside the eNodeB
3.We must confirm that the eNodeB has no hardware alarm before the subcontractors
leave the site.
