Explosion-proof LAK Series Beacons
The low profile LAK collection of special lighting products offers an
extremely comprehensive range of status lamps, warning lamps and
luminaires. Applications include status indicator, hazard warning,
coded paging system, warning alert in petrochemical plants, &
disaster warning. LAK beacons are certified to ATEX, the Potentially
Explosive Atmospheres Directive 94/9/EC, certificate number
Sira 01ATEX1291.
Key Features

LAK 6, 7 & H-LAK series are all based upon a
Xenon discharge light source. On board electronics
provide the EHT trigger and H.T. potential
necessary to realise a high intense regular pulse of
light with no dependency on moving parts. LAK 6 Is fitted with a second tube mounted at 90
degrees to the first to provide:
a) An even more intense flash
b) Greater security when beacon is used for high
integrity applications. LAK 7 - Four tube unit.
Integral reflectors and controlled firing pattern
simulate rotation in this high intensity light
source. LAK7D - Is a four tube dual colour unit
(two tubes are dedicated to each colour)
which is controlled by two separate input
supplies. Supply one is the highest priority and
causes the unit to flash yellow, the second
supply (priority 2) causes the unit to flash red.
Priority 1 overrides priority 2. Other colours
are available upon request.
The H-LAK series comprises H-LAK 6, 7 with
greatly increased tube power (60 watt).
Applications include: warning alert in
petrochemical plants (e.g. offshore oil/gas
platforms) Ministry of Defence (disaster
warning/nuclear attack).

Siren OSC Module options generate an audible
warning/alert tone which is broadcast via an
external 100 volt line explosion proof public
address type loudspeaker. A range of tones can be
programmed by insertion of a unique tone capsule.
The S option may be fitted to the following
models: LAK 6, 7 & H Series
LAK 339C contains twin fluorescent elements for
increased security.
SABS Spector Addressable Beacon System
automatic verification of beacon status monitored
from a central rack
Telephone Ringing initiation The T option allows
automatic initiation of the beacon upon detection
of the line ringing voltage to a specified telephone.
The T option may be fitted to the following
models : LAK 6, 7 & H Series
Relay Initiation. The X option permits the remote
control of a LAK unit by release or energisation of
an integral relay. (Switching the lamp from a low
voltage/current control signal.)
