Duramax DuraGold Composite Bushings
remain stable in all environments. They are
formulated with a proprietary resin matrix
for reducing the effects of abrasive particles.
Very effective in applications which have
exposure to seawater, and unaffected by
grease or oil. Self-lubricating formulation
allows for dry run capability. DuraGold has a
low thermal expansion rate in high and low
temperature environments and experiences
no swell in salt or fresh water. Thermal
expansion and contraction rate is minimal.

It is unaffected by many solvents, organic

Duramax DuraGold Bushings are a combination of modern synthetic
fibers and resins that are light in weight and engineered to better absorb
the stress and high impacts associated with deck machine applications
better than metal alternatives - or any other bearing materials.
DuraGold resists damage and fracture, can handle the damaging
effects of misalignment, and operates with dynamic pressures of up to
25N/mm2 (3625 Psi).
DuraGold is easily machined.
It can be machined by conventional techniques.
It can be treated as bronze but machined dry,
without coolant. A tungsten carbide-tipped
tool should be used to maintain a fine, smooth
finish. Composite materials are non-toxic but it
is advisable to use adequate dust extraction while machining.
