24-27 - AC GENERATION MONITORING AND INDICATING
24-27-00 - AC GENERATION MONITORING AND INDICATING
24-27-00 PB 001 CONF 00 - AC GENERATION MONITORING
AND INDICATING - DESCRIPTION AND OPERATION
1. General
The monitoring and indicating of the Alternating Current (AC) generation and distribution are performed by
means of the Electronic Centralized Aircraft Monitoring (ECAM) system on which are displayed the electrical
parameters concerning:
the four Integrated drive Generators (IDG)s,
the Auxiliary Power Unit (APU) generator,
the Constant Speed Motor/generator (CSM/G), (emergency generator),
the static inverter,
the two electrical ground power units.
2. System Description
The following AC electrical parameters can be read on AC ELEC page of the System Display (SD):
the oil outlet temperatures, the low oil pressure indication and the disconnection status of each IDG,
the voltage, frequency and nominal load in percentage of each main generator and APU generator,
the status of the AC normal and essential busbars,
the status of the galleys and the commercial loads, furthermore, the ECAM gives a synoptic of the AC
electrical generating system enabling the flight crew to be aware of the electrical configuration,
the voltage and frequency of the two ground power units, the emergency generator and the static inverter.
3. Operation/Control and Indicating
A. Operation
The AC ELEC page on the SD can be displayed:
either automatically after a class 1 failure on the AC network (if requested by the Flight Warning System
(FWS) ),
or manually by selecting the AC ELEC page on the ECAM control panel (Ref. 31-56-00).
