Indigenous Landforms & Language Groups

Uluru, the Three Sisters rock formations, Karlu Karlu (Devils Marbles), and the coloured sand cliffs at Rainbow Beach are located in lands belonging to Aboriginal language groups including the Anangu, Arrernte, Luritja, and Gubbi Gubbi peoples. Other significant landforms located in territories of Indigenous language groups are Wilpena Pound in the Adnyamathanha lands, Koonalda Cave in the Ngarrindjeri lands, and The Pinnacles near Cape Le Grand in the Nyungar lands. Cradle Mountain, Bald Rock, and Mt Buninyong are also situated within the traditional lands of Tasmanian Aboriginal language groups.
