PREFACE
This report is about Building of 15 Marla house. The owner wanted
to build a luxurious house leaving no expense in one of the
expensive areas of Pakistan.
AKNOWLEDGEMENT
I would like to thank the concerned teacher for giving me the
opportunity to write report on construction of this house and
making us familiar with the softwares in use in the field and for
shedding some light on us from his experience in the field.
FEEDBACK
I am sure the concerned teacher must have had his concerns but it
would have been better if we were send to the field and were
made to write reports on Actually occurring projects. It would have
made the report much more fun.
Abstract:
The project is the construction of a 15 Marla house. The owner wanted the project to be
completed in 2 years so resources were required to be adjusted according to
requirement. The project was completed in following simple steps:

Soft-wares Used:
Auto-Cad was used for Plan, Elevation and Section Drawing
Excel was used for Estimation and Rate Analysis
Project was used for Assigning resources, adjustment of resources and marking of
progress.

Introduction of Project:
This was a simple project in which owner wanted to construct his new house. The owner
wanted leave no expense regarding quality of house so he also asked for Geotechnical
Investigation. Also all the required facilities and accessories of house were included in
budget.
Funding:
The Owner was the sole funder working alongside Supervision consultant. No loans were
involved.
Special Features:
The house is constructed by book and note a single expense was ignored. Each and
every activity is considered regarding construction so the price is bit on the higher side.

For all Manufacturing works it is obligatory to see the prospective worth of
construction known as predictable cost.
An approximation, is a calculation of amounts compulsory and spending

There are 2 methods used for estimation:
1.Long Wall Short Wall Method
2.Centerline method
1.Long Wall Short Wall Method
In this technique, the barrier along the extent of apartment is measured to
be long wall while the wall vertical to long wall is said to be small partition.
To get the span of lengthy wall or small wall, compute first the center line
lengths of individual walls.
Thus the length of short partition unhurried into in and may be originated by
taking half breadth from its center line length at each end. Long wall usually
expand in their dimension when it is checked from top to bottom. These
lengths are increased by breadth and depth to get quantities.

2.Centre-line Method:
This technique is apposite for walls of comparable cross segments.Usually
length and breadth are multiplied to get the required dimension of the wall.
When 2 walls intersect making a T or an intersection at a point than it has to
be encountered by halving the width in this case so that th Required Values
can be obtained reduced by half of coverage for each junction. Such joint or
