Winter Project 2013-14


Classes VI - VIII
Subjects:
English Literature, Second Language (Hindi/Bengali/French/German),
Chemistry, Physics, Biology, Mathematics, History, Geography.
Find out names of five personalities (2 foreigners and 3 Indians per subject, only 5
Indians for 2nd Language Hindi & Bengali) who have contributed in a large way in the
progress and development of the above mentioned subjects. Write about each one of
them using the following points:

Early life
Contribution to the subject
Major achievements
Impact on society, if any

English Language:
Write in 200 words a comparative study between Mahatma Gandhi and Nelson Mandela
on their contribution towards making their countries free from oppression.
Each project will be marked on 10.
Break up of 10 marks:
Research work - 2 marks
Content 4 marks
Presentation 2 marks
Punctuality 2 marks

Note:

The students are going to do the Research work during the Winter Vacation and
prepare the projects in School on Jan 07, Jan 08, and Jan 09, 2014
No student should be absent on the abovementioned days.
The students have to bring the materials on those 3 days and will not be allowed
to borrow from others.
The cover should be of old newspaper and the content should be handwritten.
2 marks will be deducted per day in case of late submission.

The final date of submission is 14/01/2014.
