Master Honen's Salvation Method

Master Honen dictated his one-page testament in 1212 CE outlining the core teachings of True Shin Buddhism. He stated that salvation comes from solely reciting "Namu Amida Butsu" with unwavering faith in Amida Buddha's mercy and vow, without need for meditation or understanding the deep meaning. Followers should have simple, childlike faith and recite the name alone without other practices or pedantic understanding.
