Active Filter Design Lab Manual

The document describes designing second order low-pass and high-pass filters according to a given cut-off frequency. It lists the required components, provides circuit diagrams of the filters, and describes the design process, procedure to obtain the frequency response, and how to calculate and verify the theoretical and practical cut-off frequencies and roll-off factors. The aim is to experimentally determine the frequency response of the filters and validate the theoretical predictions.

2. Circuit is rigged up as shown in figure 1.

3. Circuit is energized using 12 V power supply.
4. An input of 0.5 Vp-p is applied using AFO and output is observed on the CRO.
5. Frequency is varied in steps of 100 Hz, 200Hz etc, readings are noted down.
6. Values are tabulated and the gain is calculated.
