Low Pass and High Pass Filters
Aim: To Design a second order active low-pass filter according to the cut-off frequency given
and obtain its frequency response.
Components Required:

Circuit Design:
Given Cut-off frequency,

Procedure:

1. For given cut-off frequency and pass band gain, values of resistor and capacitors are
calculated as per the design.

2. Circuit is rigged up as shown in figure 1.
3. Circuit is energized using 12 V power supply.
4. An input of 0.5 Vp-p is applied using AFO and output is observed on the CRO.
5. Frequency is varied in steps of 100 Hz, 200Hz etc, readings are noted down.
6. Values are tabulated and the gain is calculated.

7. A graph for gain v/s frequency is plotted.
