NBA Legends & Today's All Stars

Basketballs first start: Basketball was invented in 1891 in Springfield Massachusetts by a

Physical Education teacher named James Naismith. The sport was meant for his athletes to
stay in shape during the winter.

Rules:The NBA was made up of 17 teams that represented both small cities and large
cities. The first hoop was a peach basket. There is about 10-20 rules 10 basic rules and then
some added through out the years. In 1954-55 they made different rules and made a hole
through the peach basket to speed the game up. Through then and now the game has changed
by the following players.

First NBA stars Wilt Chamberlain: He's the one who started it off. He was an unstoppable
force that nodbody had seen. Was outstanding with his scoring ability but also could do more,to
average a triple double. One of his games he scored 100pts. He retired with 31,419 points and
one of the most rebounds in his time 23,924.

Julis Erving: Also known as Dr. J was a dominant player in his era a innovator who changed
the game. Which he had 3 scoring titles. He understood what his role was and how to do it
which is why people referred to him as Dr. J.

Magic Johnson: He was the tallest point guard in the NBA people didn't think he would be able
to do all the moves standing at 69. They thought he was meant to be one of the big men. He
accomplished everything a player could dream of during his 13 years with the LA Lakers.

Michael Jordan: By accomplishments MJ is the best player of all time. Other players put him at
the top. Larry Bird had said God disguised as Michael Jordan. Some of his accomplishments
were Rookie of the year, 5 time MVP, 6 time NBA champion, 6 time NBA Finals, 10 scoring titles
and more. People never seen anything like him he was one of a kind.

Allen Iverson: Was a great player he was known for his great handles he could handle a ball
like no other making people fall turn around anything to make someone look foolish. Also a
great playmaker and could score anytime. He was the first person that made Michael Jordan go
the other way with a move called a crossover. Most the moves now are made up his crossover
the Iverson cross.

Hall Of Fame: All these players have been inducted into NBA's Hall Of fame and have changed
the game of basketball. My favorite Hall of fame Player is Michael jordan I think he is the best
player by far he has accomplished so much a player could want.

Todays All Stars: Today NBA players are all about exposing someone. Either dunking on them
crossing them, nasty blocks or just dominant in scoring during the game.

Kyrie Irving: He is known for his great ball handling skills. He can handle a ball like no other.
He is a rim finisher great shooter and an overall good player.

Lebron James: He was born a leader leading his team in games and practice and last years
finals. When down by a couple points hes clutch player. And,according to sports illustrated
number 1 in top 25 2016-17 basketball player.

Russell Westbrook: Is Top 5 in the NBA of this year. He is crazy athletic no one can stop him.
By far the either 1st or 2nd best point guard in the NBA. A leader of his team.

Kevin Durant: He is just a great player. Hes pretty much 70 feet tall. He does anything a point
guard does at 7 feet tall. Which makes him a good player.

Kobe Bryant: Arguably one of the best players. He didn't go to college he went straight to NBA
from high school. He is a great shooter and scorer. One game he scored 81pts against the
Toronto Raptors.
