Background Information:
These two classes are sci-tech and generally rush to get things done. This lesson will be about les adjectifs
dmonstratifs so that they can use it in their writing in the future, but we will be also focusing on presenting the
dialogues in a more natural way so that they can improve on their pace, intonation, and pronunciation.
Accommodations/Modifications:
Students will be given extra time if needed.
Students will have opportunities to read/hear/see the text they are working with before presenting.
Learning Expectations:
Speaking
B1.3 Speaking with fluency: speak with a smooth pace, appropriate intonation, and accurate pronunciation in
rehearsed communications about personal and familiar topics
Learning Goals
By the end of this lesson, we will be able to speak a rehearsed text with appropriate intonation, a smooth pace,
and accurate pronunciation using a dialogue.
By the end of this lesson, we will be able to demonstrate our knowledge of ce, cet, cette and ces in our
dialogue.
Minds On 10 minutes
1. Each group of students will sit at their desk groups which will have a card with ce, cet, cette, or ces on it.

2. Students will be given a lesson about ce, cet, cette, ces using the whiteboard. We will talk about the
differences between the four words and what they mean.

If we dont know if a word is masculine or feminine, how can we figure it out? Dictionary, en ligne,
wordreference, parler avec un amie, etc.

3. Students will be asked to stick their sign on something in the class that ce, cet, cette, ces could be used with
like ces photos, ce bureau, ce mur, ce pupitre, cette poubelle, cette planche, cet etudiant (male student), cet
ordinateur

Early finishers
Encourage students to help other groups if they finish quickly. Challenge them to find another one.

Action 28 minutes
1. Each group will share their answers from the last task as I pass out the handouts.

2. Students will be asked to fill in the sheet. I will be going around helping students.

3. We will talk up partie A.

4. Students will continue to do partie B and then we will take that up together.

5. Students will be asked to work with a partner on the dialogues. We will talk about speaking with expression
and clearly. They will be given a number 1 3. Students will practice their part of the dialogue which will be
divided up and then present to the class.

6. I will be marking some students with a feedback form while they present marking their intonation, smooth
pace, and pronunciation to provide them with feedback.

Assessment
For providing students with descriptive feedback and coaching for improvement through feedback forms on
their presentation of the dialogue.

Consolidation 2 mins
1. We will review ce, cet, cette, ces one last time and students will submit their sheets.
Next Steps
