KG2 Math: Learning Dirham Transactions

Student-Teacher Laila Mohamed outlined a math lesson plan for a kindergarten class on making purchases involving whole dirhams, paying with notes, and giving correct change. The lesson uses pretend money cards and shop items for students to simulate purchases. Students will find total costs of item pairs and use coins and notes to make amounts up to 12 dirhams. The teacher will demonstrate and guide student practice in small groups before students work independently.
