Francesca Woodman

Francesca Woodman was an American photographer born in Denver, Colorado in 1958. She began taking photographs at age 13 and further developed her skills while studying at the Rhode Island School of Design in 1975. Woodman is known for her black and white self-portraits featuring her nude or partially nude in abandoned spaces. She worked in New York, Providence, Rome and other locations before dying by suicide in 1981 at the age of 22.
