Benet Sharing in
Shared River Systems
LEAD Pakistan is pleased to announce a highly innovative regional leadership and capacity building programme for
water professionals working with Civil Society Organisations (CSO's). The programme is focused on nurturing
leadership for water management and related issues, both at community and regional levels. Subsequently, it also
aims to build a specialised group of change makers, who can provide solutions to transboundary water challenges
and enhance dialogue on forward looking initiatives and policy reforms with key decision makers. The programme
commences in January 2017 and is expected to be completed by September 2017.

Structure
The programme will be delivered through exclusively designed modules that meet the needs of participants and
ensure them on a path of transformative learning and enhance their leadership capacity in an integrated and
interdisciplinary manner. It will cover various themes under technical knowledge (climate change, ecology, water
economy, laws etc.), skills development (negotiations, advocacy, communications etc.,) and sectoral issues
(agriculture, DRR etc.). The program includes:

Two Regional training sessions


Community engagement activities
Policy initiative and dialogue processes

Eligibility Criteria
6-7 Years of professional Experience in Civil Society Organizations
Minimum 3 years of management experience
University degree or relevant work experience
Practical experience in transboundary water issues
Excellent communication skills
Participant's organisation must be registered at least ve years ago prior to the date of application and with a
minimum of three years programmatic focus on water issues
Consent from the participant's organisation to engage in programme activities.
