Welcome
Welcome you all to the University of the Armed Forces ESPE and there to the Distance Learning
Mode.
It is important to bear in mind that English is a universal language and it is spoken in many
countries in the world, and it is also the official language of 45 countries. English provides the
medium for all the cultures to communicate through books, movies, plays, internet or other
resources. Some companies in today's time require their employees to be fluent in English, so that
they can communicate with other people. In such a situation, employees with good command on
the language are at an advantage. This is why learning English is vital for an individual in these
times.
Reasons to learn English may be different for every person; some might do it to graduate while
others may do it to get a better job. Those who want to take exams for further studies also need to
improve their language; especially those preparing for the exams such as TOEFL, FCE, CAE,
among others. Whatever the reason, English in considered highly valuable and the most widely and
accepted language.
We sponsor eight levels by well-known, practicing professors each semester and we also have
tutorial sessions that will complement your studies with a well-furnished staff, and days of talks and
advice during the semester. We encourage all of you to participate in our activities.
Count on us to help you at the beginning, during and at the end of the semester to guide you all in
the learning process.
Wishing you the best
