OUR PERENNIAL INSPIRATIONFrom the Principal to students and parents:
“When L was young, L observed that nine out of ten things 1 did were failures.
‘So I did ten times more work”
George Bernard Shaw
‘Communique from the Principal
The College has completed 50 golden years of existence. It is a once-in-a lifetime event and we at
‘Smt. Chandibai Himathmal Mansukhani College have relished this wonderful time. The college has taken
great strides in the pursuit of its dream of providing quality education to the citizens of this historic city.
From a mere 250 students to more than 10,000 students is a great leap forward; in fact, the history of the
college is closely linked to the growth of the city of Ulhasnagar, which welcomed, with open arms, the
‘Sindhi minority community in 1947, and provided a home to those who had left their homes behind. From
being an institute that caters to the minority community, today, it has evolved into a holistic institution
which provides education and employment to thousand across religions, communities, castes, languages.
tis time to celebrate the unique identity of the college, which remains rooted in its commitment to the
‘Sindhi community, and which at the same time, also fans out to encompass the rich diversity of India,
‘We are grateful to the visionaries who established the Hyderabad(Sind) ‘National Collegiate Board,
‘Vidyasagar Principal KM. Kundnani and Barrister Hotchand Advani, The dream of a college at
‘Ulhasnagar was realised at a time when the city was viewed as a muffosil area, with minimum
connectivity with Mumbai, A handsome endowment from Shri Gangaram Mansukhani and with the
blessings of our beloved AMA, the college, in its 50th year, is recognized as one among the Premier
Institutes of the University of Mumbai.
‘The HSNC Board, currently headed by the Ace Motivator, CA Shri Niranjan Hiranandani, continues to
‘create new pathways to excellence by providing support in financial, human and humane terms,
So let us look forward to the exciting times ahead, while we renew our commitment to the pursuit of
excellence in every field in the years to come : After the enthusiasm generated by the Golden Jubilee
Celebrations, we are headed for a year that will make us climb higher heights. ‘My best wishes to all the
students for the coming academic year.
