Assessment strategies:
Performance of students in this course is determined through two(2) forms of assessment,
that are course work (50%) and written examination (50%). Course work is conducted through
out the course while centralised examination is administered at the end of the semester.
Course work consists of academic writing and quiz. Course work is formulated based on
Buku Panduan Penggubalan Kerja Kursus. Examination questions comprise of structured
and extended essays, formulated based on Buku Panduan Penggubalan Kertas
Peperiksaan.

12. Synopsis This course encompasses factors that influence the development of the child; basic
principles of child development; different stages of development; the underpinning theories
of child development; implications on teaching and learning; and development of children
with special needs.
Kursus ini merangkumi proses perkembangan kanak-kanak dari aspek faktor-faktor yang
mempengaruhi perkembangannya; prinsip-prinsip asas perkembangan; peringkat-peringkat
perkembangan dan teori-teori yang berkaitan; implikasi terhadap pengajaran dan
pembelajaran serta ciri-ciri kanak-kanak berkeperluan khas.
