2014-2015 Pennsylvania School District Medicaid Reimbursements for School Based ACCE

For nearly 30 years, schools across Pennsylvania have used Medicaid to fund the School Based ACCESS program to cover cert
services for Medicaid eligible children. Children covered by Medicaid may receive primary or preventive services in a school-b
as hearing and vision screenings. Pennsylvania also uses Medicaid dollars to help schools provide services described in a child
plan under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA). This includes services such as occupational and physical the
mental health, and aides in the classroom. Medicaid also covers health services for eligible children through the Early and Perio
Diagnosis and Treatment Services (EPSDT).
