Learning Outcomes

This course is specifically formulated to enable the student to gain specialist legal knowledge and
understanding of the theoretical underpinnings of maritime law within a practical context, whilst
developing expertise in these areas.
Conducted by experienced legal practitioners and industry experts, the programme will also impart
valuable insights into the key principles and practises that regulates the industry including an overall
understanding of the general principles of shipping law in areas like collision, salvage, towage,
pollution, ship sale, ship-building and ship arrest as well as impart valuable exposure to the most
significant legal issues that affect the maritime industry.
