COURSE DESIGN

COURSE TITLE : HAIRDRESSING NC II

NOMINAL DURATION : 656 hours

COURSE DESCRIPTION :

This course is designed to enhance the knowledge, skills and desirable attitudes in
hairdressing in accordance with industry standards. It covers basic hair care services such
as hair coloring, bleaching, haircutting, straightening and perming and basic make-up
application.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS:

Before entering this course, the learner:

Must be able to communicate effectively both orally and


in written form
Must be physically, emotionally and mentally fit
Must secure a medical certificate for fitness to handle
chemicals
Must be able to perform basic mathematical computation
(Fundamental Operations)

Note to students:

Because many chemical sprays and airborne pollutants are found in this occupation,
students are advised to consult their physicians as to possible problems (i.e., allergies,
asthma, dermatitis, etc.) before enrolling.
