Equipment Request Letter

Francisco Emmanuel T. Munsayac Jr III, a BS/MS Manufacturing Engineering student under the ERDT-DOST scholarship program, requests approval to purchase a new Acer laptop to support his thesis research and coursework requirements. His current laptop is unable to handle the large computational demands of finite element analysis (FEA) simulations and CAD modeling for his research project designing an automated sugarcane harvester. He provides specifications for the recommended Acer laptop configured with an Intel i7 processor, 16GB RAM, Geforce GTX 1070 graphics card, SSD and HDD storage, and wireless connectivity needed to perform the complex simulations and modeling.

RE : REQUISITION OF EQUIPMENT

Greetings!

I am Francisco Emmanuel T. Munsayac Jr III with ID# 11699280, currently enrolled in the ladderized
programme of BS/MS Manufacturing Engineering under the ERDT-DOST scholarship program. I am
part of a research project of designing an automated sugarcane harvester. I am also doing several related
researches that shall be submitted in conferences. I am also starting my thesis work which would require a
lot of CAD/CAE simulations.

I am writing this letter to request an ACER laptop as stated on the attached page which is intended for my
research Finite Element Analysis of the Design of a Sugar Cane harvester since my current laptop cant
handle large computations of in FEA and simulations of several part designs. It will also be used in other
coursework
The following system is my recommendation as per my work requirements:
15.6 inch ACER Laptop
Intel Core i7-7700HQ
Windows 10
16GB DDR4 Memory
Geforce GTX 1070 8GB GDDR5
256GB SSD
1 TB HDD
Killer Wireless AC 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac wireless LAN

Thank you very much.
