Section 712.1-712.4 There is a sewer sump pit that is not sealed and allowing sewer gas to enter the room.
Section 106.1 The plumbing for the all the bars on premises to include the sump pit appear to have been
installed without permits and inspections.
Section 106.1 There is also a bathroom that has been installed behind the main stage area on the second floor
that does not meet the Handicap requirements, also installed without permits and inspections.
The water closets in some of the restrooms are out of order and need repair.
A licensed plumbing contractor will need to evaluate the buildings plumbing system and secure the necessary
permit to perform corrections.
Mechanical: 2012 Mechanical Code
The heating and cooling systems are not all working and need to be replaced or repaired.
The heating and cooling systems are missing grills and return air grills along with filters.
A licensed mechanical contractor will need to evaluate the mechanical systems in the building and secure the
necessary permits to replace or repair.
Electrical:2014 NEC
Miscellaneous electrical work has been performed at various places throughout the building without
permits being obtained from our office (NC General Statute 153A-357)
Wiring methods have been installed without permits or inspections that are not code compliant for
an assembly occupancy & use (Such as Type NM-cable & Type PVC conduit)

Covers & faceplates are missing from electrical boxes, switches & outlets (2014 NEC Articles 314-

Some electrical disconnection means & circuits not labeled properly at some panelboard locations

There are some broken, damaged, non-maintained emergency lighting/exit signs required by the
building & fire codes at various places through-out the building (2014 NEC Articles 110.12(B) &

Extension cords cannot be used as a substitute for a fixed wiring method of the structure & cannot
pass through ceiling or wall cavities (NEC Articles 400.8 (1) & (2)
Some electrical junction & device boxes should be properly fastened in place & supported (NEC
Article 314.23)
Some electrical switches & receptacle outlets are hanging out & not properly mounted to electrical
boxes at various places (2014 NEC Articles 404.10 & 406.5)
Some wiring methods at various locations not securely fastened in place & supported properly as
per (2014 NEC Article 300.11 & the applicable sections of Chapter 3 of the 2014 NEC)
A N.C. State Licensed Electrician will need to be hired and obtain the proper permits & inspections
to make electrical corrections throughout the building for its permissible & intended use.
