RATIONALE
Students will able to create art and be aware of the elements that create artistic works. These are the building blocks of
art and are key to the students success in artistic endeavors.

By the end of this lesson the students will be able to represent the different elements of art. The students should be able
to demonstrate through art and describe the elements.
Answer questions like these:
What is the difference between shape and form?
How do you show value?
What are primary colours, complimentary colours, etc?
How can you show texture through line?
How can we use space to create images?

Students who may have tactile or dexterity issues can use media like google drawing.
Students may also work with a partner if they require help with any of the resources.

ASSESSMENT AND EVALUATION
Students will turn in a portfolio with examples from each of the elements of art. The portfolio could be submitted online or
in a collection of artwork.
