body. Paradoxically, in the moment of contact between two bodies, when we attempt to
go beyond our borders we are affronted by a stronger affirmation of our own identity.
SK!N is about migration and how, when and why we are allowed to freely cross
borders whilst others have their movements restricted. It is about the lengths that
people go to in order to survive or better their lives. It is about the dehumanising trade
of people: it is winners and losers. It is about how we, the privileged, actively and
passively, consciously and subconsciously, benefit from and then distance ourselves
from the plight of others.
By coming into contact with the other, by coming face-to-face with the other, our identities
are forged and given meaning. With this work, we try to bring the audience into contact
with the other so that they better confront themselves. This has been our process as much
as we hope it is the audiences. We do this in order for us to better understand what we
share and what we dont share, and ultimately whether those differences are justified.

citizens Celebrating their 40th year, Circus Oz explodes back on stage, audaciously
unpacking the myths of modern Australia in their latest high octane circus show
Model Citizens, the first creation for the company by Artistic Director Rob Tannion.
Model Citizens seamlessly blends the risk and beauty of breathtaking physical
improbability with theatricality, choreography and Circus Ozs distinct brand of
Australian humour. Stunningly lit and driven by a sensational live music soundtrack,

high in an enormous pair of aerial undies!
Exposing circus skills in unconventional ways, Model Citizens presents stunning
group acrobatics with a twist. Model Citizens is a visually and emotionally charged
journey by the multi-talented Circus Oz ensemble, which explores what it really
means to be a model citizen in todays model kit society.

by david williams season The place of Christian faith in Australian politics is often linked to conservatism
and intolerance. Many members of the current Federal Government profess deep
Christian beliefs and groups such as the Australian Christian Lobby loudly intervene
in public policy debates.
Yet, new faith-based social movements such as Love Makes A Way, actively
campaign against government policies. The spectacle of religious leaders
undertaking non-violent acts of civil disobedience, including prayer vigils in
the offices of Christian politicians, has captured the imaginations of many.
Generated from hours of interviews with Christian Australians, Quiet Faithoffers a
beautiful, immersive and heartfelt portrait of the very different ways that faith can
