Shree Shree VIJAYANDEERAR – A SHORT
NARRATION
Shree Shree Vijayeendara Guru was the Parama Guru of Sri
Ragavendarar. Parama Guru means Guru’s Guru. Sri
Ragavendarar’s Guru was Shree Sudeendarar and Shree
Sudeendarar’s Guru was Shree Shree Vijayandeerar.Sri
Vijayandeerar was a disciple of Sri Vysarajar.
Sri Vijayandeerar was a Maha Guru who has seen two avathars of
Sri Ragavendra Swamigal.
Sri Vijayandeerar has seen Sri Vysarajar as his Guru and also Sri
Ragavendarar, avathar of Sri Vysarajar as his successor to the
Mutt.
Sri Vijayandeerar’s Brindavanam at Kumbakonam is said to have
come up during A.D. 1614.
It is said that Sri Vijayandeerar has identified Sri Ragavendrar as
his successor to the Mutt , during the childhood times of Sri
Ragavendrar and has told about the same to his successor Sri
Sudeendrar that the said child is the avathar of his Guru Sri
Vysarajar and that he will be Sri Ragavendrar in Kaliyuga, being
the succeeding head of his mutt. The above said goes to show
that this great guru’s extra sensory perceptional powers .
Sri Vijayandeerar took charge of Sri Mutt. Sri Vijayandeerar is
known for his well verse in all sastras and profound for his
efficiency in his speech. Its told that whoever prays to Sri
Vijayandeer will have unbeatable proficiency in speech. Further
its also believed that Dharshan of Sri Vijayandeerar at
Kumbakonam gives untold peace of mind and answers all
unanswered questions in mind.
Further Sri Vijayandeerar solves all the problems of his devotees ,
told and untold by his extreme power.
Sri Vijayandeerar Mutt and Brindavanam is situated in Solaiappan
Street at Kumbakonam on the banks of River Cauvery .
Its also told that, it is this ancient Mutt where Sri
Ragavendraswamy took over as head and thereafter went to
Mantralayam in Andhra Pradesh to set up his Brindavanam. Here
its told that the holy pool found even today is the holy pool used
by Sri Vijayandeerar and further its only from this holy pool or
tank a Suyambu Sri Lakshmi Narasimmar statue came up, which
is installed in front of Sri Vijayandeerar Brindavanam.

Prayers and meditation In front of Sri Vijayandeerar’s
Brindavanam gives solace to all souls and peace of mind to
everyone who with faith and belief steps into this soil .
Further its believed that every day Sri Sri Ragavendra Swamigal
who is believed to be still alive in non physical form to redress
the greivences of his devotees , visits to Sree Vijayandeerar Mutt
to offer his pranams to his Parama Guru at Kumbakonam . Those
who are not able to visit traveling all the way to Mantralayam ,
can offer their prayers at Sree Vijayandeerar Mutt . The Prayers
offered here by the devotees are blessed by Parama Guru Sri
Vijayandeerar as well by Sri Ragavendra Swamigal .
A Trip to Sri Vijayandeerar Mutt will get us the divine blessings of
Sri Vijayandeerar as well that of Sri Guru Ragavendra Swamigal .
Further we find statutes of Panchalogo kept at the entrance of the
Sri Vijayandeerar Madam, which is said to have been used by Sri
Vijayandeera Theertar as well as that of Sri Ragavendra Swamigal
. Blessed we are to have Dharshan of this Maha Guru at
Kumbakonam, further its said that we find here another Mahan at
the Backyard of the Madam, who is the wish full filler by name
“Sree Narayana Bhudar” under a tree.
Its said that this Mahan Sri Narayana Bhudar protects us from
fear, confusions and from other evil forces. Its said that he fulfills
all wishes. A visit to Mutt without a visit to “Sree Narayana
Bhudar” is incomplete as said by Guru Sri Vijayandeerar himself.
A wish of the devotee is fullfilled by praying with a Coconut and
rolling down the same in front of the tree , where Sree Narayana
Bhudar blesses his devotees and protects them from all evils .
With this the short narration of Sri Sri Vijayandeerar is concluded
with prayers that Guru Sri Sri Vijayandeerar and Sree
Ragavendrara the Maha Gurus protect us all and give peace to us
all.
