Established in 2004, Etihad Cargo is the fast growing cargo division of
Etihad Airways, the National Airline of the UAE. From our hub at Abu Dhabi
International Airport, we offer our customers a range of cargo services
linked to our expanding international route network and aircraft fleet.
Complementing the belly-hold capacity on our passenger fleet of over
80 aircraft, we operate a fleet of nine dedicated cargo aircraft (freighters)
that fly on scheduled services to Europe, North & South America, Asia,
Australia, the Middle East and Africa. Collectively, we offer our customers
access to 102 destinations, 11 of which are operated exclusively with
freighters.

OUR FLEET
With one of the youngest fleets in the world, Etihad continues to invest in new aircraft and aircraft
enhancements. We currently operate a fleet of 89 aircraft and have more than 220 aircraft on firm order,
including 71 Boeing 787 Dreamliners, 25 Boeing 777-X, 62 Airbus A350s, and 10 Airbus A380s.
In addition to the current fleet that serves our passenger network, Etihad Cargo operates nine freighters
with diverse payload and range capabilities enabling us to serve our network with the utmost efficiency.
The current freighter fleet includes one Boeing 747-8F, two Boeing 747-400F, three Boeing 777-200F
and three Airbus A330-200F.
To ensure our capacity stays ahead of rising demand, an additional freighter Airbus A330-200F will
be introduced into the fleet in 2014.

Since 2003, Etihad has grown its network at an enviable rate and 2013 was no exception with the launch
of Washington DC, Amsterdam, Belgrade, Sao Paulo, Sana’a and Ho Chi Minh City within the scheduled
passenger network followed by additional cargo destinations including Houston, Miami, Quito, Viracopos,
Eldoret and Chittagong.

Our current product portfolio includes:
FAST-TRACK
A premium priority product offering an airport-to-airport service, with
preferential access to capacity, late acceptance and early retrieval
of cargo, all endorsed with a money-back guarantee.
SAFEGUARD
A highly secure valuable goods service designed to support the requirements
of global security companies and freight forwarders who need to dispatch
valuables quickly and securely. Fundamental to this service is a daily secured
and licensed armoured shuttle operating between Abu Dhabi and Dubai.
DANGEROUS GOODS
A trained, certified and highly dedicated cargo handling team, system-wide,
ensures the highest safety standards at all stages of transporting dangerous
goods shipments, from acceptance to arrival at the destination. All handling
procedures are fully compliant with IATA Dangerous Goods regulations, safety
standards and local regulations.
LIVE ANIMALS
System-wide, the cargo handling team have all the necessary expertise
to provide safe, humane and professional handling of all pets at all times.
Our live animal shipments meet all requirements and guidelines of local
government health, Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species
of Wild Fauna and Flora (CITES) and current IATA Live Animals Regulations.
CHARTERS
A bespoke service for customers looking for a turnkey solution that involves
multiple connections at a competitive price. Our charter service optimizes our
freighter utilization and offers customers spare capacity on a diverse range
of aircraft, unique to the Middle East region.
OUR HOME – ABU DHABI
Etihad Airport Services LLC (EAS) is the Etihad Airways holding company established to further enhance
airport services, ground handling and cargo operations at Abu Dhabi International Airport. This follows
the airline’s strategic acquisition of three airport services companies: Abu Dhabi Airport Services (ADAS),
Abu Dhabi In-Flight Catering (ADIFC) and Abu Dhabi Cargo Company (ADCC).
EAS-Cargo provides import and export services, and comprehensive delivery
processes for airlines, freight forwarders and other stakeholders at Abu Dhabi
International Airport. The current cargo terminals at Abu Dhabi International
Airport cover 36,000sqm of storage facilities. They incorporate a fully-equipped
perishables centre, munitions stores, temperature-controlled rooms, pallet-
screening, state-of-the-art CCTV for valuable cargo and 24/7 end-to-end
cargo support, including customs and police services, food control and
on-call veterinary support.
SPECIALIZED PROGRAMMES
CargoConnect is our unique loyalty programme that rewards non-contracted companies for every
booking made with Etihad Cargo. We’ve brought together a range of benefits, including the ability to earn
Etihad Guest Miles that can be redeemed for flights, upgrades or a choice of over 6,000 products from the
Etihad Guest Rewards Shop.
PREFERRED HANDLING PARTNER (PHP)
A certification of ground handling services by Etihad Cargo, after an extensive audit of both corporate
policy and station capability, which allows the partner company to handle cargo operations on behalf
of Etihad across the network. PHP delivers a greater level of standardized service performance whereby
our customers enjoy greater reliability and quality of ground handling services worldwide.
CARE BY AIR
Etihad Airways is a founding member of the Care by Air initiative which is
a ground-breaking humanitarian programme that provides cargo space
‘at cost’ to deliver relief aid to disaster-stricken areas around the world.
Supporting members include the UAE Red Crescent and the United Nation
World Food Programme (WFP).
According to IATA figures, only 70 per cent of the maximum cargo loading
capacity is used across the world. This amounts to four million tonnes of
empty space, every week, every year in more than 3,400 airports across
220 countries. If just 0.0003% of this space were to be filled, then five
million people in need could be fed for a day. These facts provided the
rationale for Care by Air and the idea to expedite relief aid across the
world within a sound commercial framework.

2013 GLOBAL BRAND CAMPAIGN
In June 2013,
Etihad Cargo
unveiled its new
global advertising
campaign.

the campaign will run across 24 countries,
supported by print and digital media
advertising. The campaign celebrates
Etihad Cargo’s key customer – the freight
forwarder – and reinforces the customer-
centric proposition in the way we align
our network, fleet, and service portfolio
to support seamless transportation of
customer goods across the globe.
This campaign has its DNA in the Etihad
Airways’ global brand campaign, launched in
February 2013. The campaign’s concept and
look and feel was created by M&C Saatchi,
Etihad Airways’ global creative agency, and
brings together four elements: the brand line,
a profile of the freight forwarder, a description
of the goods that require transporting, and
Etihad Cargo’s route proposition.
