Will the Minister of RURAL DEVELOPMENT be pleased to state:

(a) whether the engagement of women workers under the Mahatma Gandhi National
Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme (MGNREGS) has decreased over the years in
rural areas;
(b) if so, the details thereof and the reasons therefor;
(c) the number of women workers provided with employment under the said scheme
during each of the last three years and the current year, State/UT-wise;
(d) whether the Government proposes to provide non-transient/stable jobs to women
workers to increase women participation under MGNREGS and if so, the details
thereof; and
(e) the details of measures taken/being taken by the Government in this regard?

(a)&(b): The engagement of women workers under Mahatma Gandhi National Rural
Employment Guarantee Scheme (MGNREGS) during the last three years has shown an
increasing trend over the years. The details are given below:
