This project aims to raise awareness of the devastating consequences of the 2004 Sumatra earthquake and Indian Ocean tsunami. It describes how people's lives in the affected countries were badly impacted across all aspects. The causes and geological factors that led to the earthquake and tsunami are also explained. The project introduces warning techniques that have been developed since the disaster to alert people in potentially tsunami-prone areas in advance of future tsunamis.

PREFACE

This project aims to awareness of horrible consequences of 2004


Sumatra earthquake and Indian Ocean tsunami and how badly hit and
affected in all sphere of life and living of the people in the countries
which were affected by this unfortunate natural calamity. The casues
and geological factors are also elaborated over why the earthquake and
Tsunami occurred. The project also introduce useful techniques which
have been developed past the aforesaid calamity, to warn in advance
against the Tsunami effects in the future, to the potentially affecting
masses living or working near poentially Tsunami prone areas.
