Dear Doctor Yeh,

As a versatile and determined young woman, I am interested in the internship at the UCLA
Institute for Educational Advancement. Having witnessed the remarkable measures medicine
can do to a person’s life, my personal experiences have driven my ambition to use my abilities
to help others who are not able. I have taken advantage of numerous opportunities in my
community that have expanded my horizon for the medical field. My extreme interest and drive
for the medical field, as well as my successful background in the areas of biology and chemistry
would make me a great asset to your organization.

The UCLA Institute for Educational Advancement organization calls forth interns who are willing
to contribute to science and who attains an extreme passion/drive for the medical field. Ever
since I was young, I have always had an immense amount of admiration for the medical field as
I have first-handedly witnessed the beauty. As I am self sufficient and hardworking, I believe I
would, both, contribute and grow from an experience with the UCLA Institute for Educational
Advancement.

In fall of 2018, I will be attending the University of California, Los Angeles. In 4 years, I plan to
graduate and attain a bachelor's degree in Biology. With the internship at your company, I will
have the opportunity to advance my knowledge and expand my skills with new experiences in
the lab that I have yet to be exposed to.
