GERMANY AS EXPORTER AN IMPORTER

In this essay we want to show how Germany is the third country with major export in all the
world, with an export higher than $4.000.000.000.000 billions, between 2014 and 2016.Also, is
going to be presented as the second country with the mayor import, with import values of
$3.333.244.070.448 billions, in the same years.

The Germany vehicle industry is the principal economy national motor. Is the most important
industry in the country, in the years of 2014 to 2016 reach export values of $101.949.270.862
million dollars, also it´s worth to say, that is an industry that gives lot of work, having more than
1.000.000 people working for this industry. An 80% of the fabricated cars in Germany during
this period of time has as destiny a foreigner country

After the blackout in 2011 for all the country due to the German nuclear reactors, Germany
decided to be part of the country that created electrical energy, having right now such a lot of
energy that they export it, this exports have reached the 16.000 millones of kilovaltious/per
hout. Also, with all the electrical energy production, it generated a decay in the prices of it, not
for the national consumer, but for the wholesale buyer, making the eletrcial energy, the third
largest export in Germany.

Germany was one of the major producers of nuclear reactors in 2011 with a supply of 17,7%,
Nevertheless, as we said previously, now they are closed due to the accident in Fukushina, for
this reason, now they are being exported to the rest of the world.

Analyzing FIGURE 1, we could perceive the 5 largest buyers of German Products, being the
largest USA, country where Germany exports various products, such as: vehicles, nuclear
reactors, pharmaceutical products, electrical machinary, opthical instruments, etc. In the
vehicle industry, a clear example of the export that Germany gives to USA, it’s the german
brand BMW, manufacturer that exports the most to USA.

The second country to which germany exports the most is France. The biggest export products
is aircrafts, this because the German aircraft manufacturers are always looking for new
technologies and solutions to reduce the noise generated by the aircrafts and also, increasing
their capacity. Attractive that France appreciated, in addition, to the growth of the oil’s Price
and the strong competition of aircraft, Germany offers the best cost. (Price-quality). It also
exports nuclears reactors, vehicles, electrical machinary, plasctics, etc..

In the next place we found United Kingdom, in which one of the biggest export products are
nuclear reagents, since the nuclear industry in this country aims to reduce their CO2 emissions
and their energy dependence with this help. After these, the most important on the list are
vehicles, pharmaceuticals, electrical machinery and plasticals and articles thereof.

The fourth country to which Germany exports the most is the Netherlands, with exports of
nuclear reagents, pharmaceutical products, mineral fuels, electrical machinery, vehicles, etc.
The export of mineral fuels to the Netherlands is due to the fact that Germany is the fourth
epicenter of coal production.

And finally, we have China in the 5th place in the countries to which Germany exports the
most. Among the products that most exports , we can find optical devices. This is because the
optical technology sector is a field of innovation enjoyed in Germany with a great development
that continues growing, and while countries like China, are inclined towards the development
of communication technologies, Germany decides to focus only on the creation of optical
devices of good quality and affordable prices. We can also find products such as: vehicles,
nuclear reactors, electrical machinery, and aircraft, among others

FIGURE 1

Germany was one of the biggest world nuclear energy producers and because of the
complications that we talk about earlier, this stopped being seen in the country, however
Germany did not stop the nuclear reactors production, and the other countries continue import
pieces to make this products that help the nuclear energy of this countries

Germany was looking for cooperation for the fuels manufacturing that they export; countries
like Argentina and Netherlands import raw material to the production of this, products like
silver, mercury and oil. This was use to the fuel manufacturing, and also to the high technology
manufacturing.

Although Germany is the biggest electrical machinery producer in the world, has we see in the
FIGURE 2, China is the country that import the tools for the electrical machinery creation,
products like: engines, functions, models, packaging and printing machinery, lifting machines
and so much more Factory designs products. Other products that China import to Germany
are: apparel and clothing, accessories and furniture

In the second country, we found low Netherlands, importing to Germany products such as:
mineral oils, (even though it is clear that Germany is also an exporter of fuel and mineral oils)
But due to an increase in oil, between 2012-2015 , Germany had to start importing its mineral
oils and fuel, and the Netherlands gave it a good rate. It also imports goods such as: nuclear
reactors, electrical machinery, plastics and articles, etc

In the third place we have France, where they are importers of spacecraft, vehicles, nuclear
reactors, electrical machinery, etc. In the same way that China, they import the tools to
Germany, but now for the creation of aircraft and spacefract. This is because the creation of
the parts have a high level of complexity, which would generate Germany more time in the
total creation of the aircraft, so they prefer that France imports the parts, and after, Germany
create the final product Then they are sold and used in the country and the rest of the products
are exported by Germany to other countries.
The United States is the fourth country that imports products to Germany, the pharmaceutical
industry is one of the biggest products that Germany buys, even though this is one of the most
successful industries in the country. In the same way, USA is an importer of nuclear reactors,
pharmaceutical products, vehicles, optical, electrical machinery, etc.

After the nuclear plants incidents in Germany, this country decide to take a different alternative
and choose the electric energy, thanks to countries like Italy and France they saw an
opportunity to send their products, like boilers, apparatus and artifacts for the manufacture of
machines that would help the production of the electrical energy.

Finally with all this we can conclude that Germany is a country which imports different
products from different countries for the construction of the products that this country exports.
