Lesson Plan (Phonics)

This lesson plan is for an English phonics class on Tuesday, February 1st, 2018. The lesson will focus on teaching students the sounds /ɪә/, /eә/, /ʊә/, and /ɜ:/. Students will practice recognizing and reproducing these sounds. They will also practice blending and segmenting phonemes. The teaching aids will include flashcards, a PowerPoint presentation, and a task sheet. Students will sing, listen to a rhyme, do actions for the sounds, and circle or match words containing the target sounds. The learning objectives are for students to be able to recognize and reproduce the sounds by the end of the lesson.
